Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
This role involves working on a busy production floor to support the manufacturing of various sizes and shapes of drainage products. You will handle materials throughout the production process, perform quality checks, and ensure products meet established standards. The position requires standing for extended periods, frequent heavy lifting, and working in both indoor plant and outdoor environments across multiple shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work on the production floor to support the manufacturing of drainage products in various sizes and shapes.
- Handle materials throughout the production process, including loading, moving, and staging parts and materials.
- Perform material inspections on pipes and other products after they have completed the production process to ensure quality standards are met.
- Use a tape measure accurately to verify product dimensions and confirm they meet specified measurements.
- Conduct visual and manual inspections to identify defects, inconsistencies, or quality issues in finished products.
- Shovel scrap material as needed, including working outside in the elements for extended periods.
- Lift, move, and position materials weighing up to 70 pounds safely and consistently throughout the shift.
- Use basic hand tools and power tools as required to support production, assembly, and material handling tasks.
- Follow established safety procedures and production guidelines while working in a manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with other team members on the production floor to maintain workflow and meet production targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including managing scrap and waste materials appropriately.
- Adapt to rotating and fixed shift schedules as assigned, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift coverage.
Essential Skills
- Ability to stand on your feet for 10–12 hours per day.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Comfort with heavy lifting, including handling materials up to 70 pounds.
- Experience using basic hand tools and power tools in a labor, manufacturing, or assembly environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in both indoor plant and outdoor environments.
- Willingness to work 2nd and 3rd shift as needed, including rotating schedules.
- Reliability and strong attendance in a production or labor-intensive role.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other team members and follow instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in general labor, manufacturing, production, or assembly work.
- Experience working with scrap materials or performing cleanup and material handling tasks.
- Comfort working in varying weather conditions when assigned to outdoor tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing setting that includes both indoor plant work and outdoor tasks. The work involves prolonged standing, frequent heavy lifting up to 70 pounds, and consistent physical activity. Shifts include 1st shift (for some assignments, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. for 2–3 weeks), as well as production needs on 1st shift (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. rotating), 2nd shift (3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m., Monday–Friday), and 3rd shift (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. rotating or 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.). The dress code is typical for a production environment, requiring practical attire suitable for physical work, outdoor exposure, and safe use of tools and equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
