At Kelly®, we’re seeking a Wastewater Process Operator to work for our client in Cartersville, GA. If you’re looking for a technical, hands-on role where you can make a positive environmental impact, this could be the perfect fit for you.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of wastewater collection and purification systems to ensure efficient and compliant performance.
- Monitor and analyze wastewater quality, conducting regular sampling, testing, and data review to guarantee compliance with environmental standards.
- Recommend technical upgrades or process improvements to enhance system performance and operational efficiency.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, including sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and monitoring service delivery.
- Apply and maintain quality, environmental, and safety management systems throughout all operational activities.
- Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate records for regulatory and internal use.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve process issues or non-compliance; report concerns to management promptly.
- Support ongoing staff training related to process operation, safety, and compliance.
- Participate in regular drills and safety checks, ensuring procedures are up to date.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in wastewater treatment preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in water/wastewater operations or a related technical/process environment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic computer literacy; experience with data entry and reporting systems a plus.
- Effective communication skills; English proficiency preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Physical Requirements
- Routine lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to work in wet and outdoor environments.
- Operate valves, pumps, and monitoring equipment as needed.
