Job Description
- Hours: 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM (2nd Shift), Monday–Friday
- Training Schedule: Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM for 2–4 weeks
This position involves using a water jet cutting machine to cut insulation material from large black rolls (approximately 1 inch thick) into components that will be applied to industrial equipment. When material issues arise or gaps are identified, you will cut and fit replacement insulation pieces as needed. A strong attention to quality and precision is required to ensure all insulation components meet specifications.
Job DescriptionAs an Installer, you will be responsible for reviewing travelers, prints, and insulation Bills of Materials (BOM) to verify material availability and condition. You will also confirm vacuum integrity before starting insulation, as per leak test protocol. Your role will involve cutting, fitting, and installing insulation on shells, heads, and piping, and applying adhesives, bands, or jacketing as specified. You will complete check sheets for vacuum readings pre and post-insulation, which is critical for leak detection traceability.
Responsibilities- Review travelers, prints, and insulation BOMs to verify material availability and condition.
- Confirm vacuum integrity before starting insulation according to leak test protocol.
- Operate water jet cutting equipment to cut insulation materials to specification.
- Cut, fit, and install insulation on shells, heads, and piping; apply adhesives, bands, or jacketing as specified.
- Cut and fit replacement insulation as needed to address gaps or material issues.
- Complete check sheets for vacuum readings before and after insulation to ensure leak detection traceability.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship and attention to detail throughout the process.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience in general labor and installation tasks.
- Strong attention to quality and detail.
- 2–3 years of experience in fabrication and fitting insulation within high-mix product environments.
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday (8–10 hours).
- Regularly lift materials up to 35 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs).
- Strict adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, including respirator fit tests and PPE usage.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
