Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description

The CNC Machinist will operate and oversee prep machines in a new machine shop environment, ensuring accurate loading, setup, and inspection of parts. This role requires 2–3 years of machine operator experience and offers significant autonomy while supporting a small, collaborative production team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC prep machines safely and efficiently in a new machine shop setting.
  • Load raw materials and components into machines according to production requirements.
  • Set up machines, verify proper tooling, and adjust settings to meet specifications.
  • Monitor machine operations and oversee the machining process from start to finish.
  • Inspect finished parts using appropriate inspection methods to ensure quality standards.
  • Identify and report any equipment or quality issues promptly to maintain smooth production.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with shop standards.
  • Collaborate with a small production team to meet daily and weekly output goals.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating machinery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in processes and workflows within the machine shop.
Essential Skills
  • 2–3 years of machine operator experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Hands-on experience operating CNC or similar production machinery.
  • Ability to perform basic inspection of machined parts for accuracy and quality.
  • Strong attention to detail when loading, setting up, and monitoring machines.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, production schedules, and safety protocols.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine shop operations.
  • Reliability and consistency in meeting production and quality expectations.
  • Effective communication skills for working with a small production team.

Work Environment

The role is based in a new machine shop operating with a small production team of approximately 2–3 people, encouraging close collaboration and clear communication. Standard working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a consistent daytime schedule. The environment is production-focused, with active machinery and routine inspection of parts. Closed-toe shoes are required for safety, and employees are expected to follow all shop safety and cleanliness standards while working in the facility.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $41600.00/yr.
