Hardware Engineering Manager

We are seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead and manage the electrical engineering team within our Optical Solutions Business Unit. Our team of Hardware Engineers is focused on delivering high-speed electrical design for advanced optical interconnect products, including high-speed line cards, amplifiers, and optical systems. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver cutting-edge solutions for hyperscale data centers and next-generation optical networking systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical engineering team within the Optical Solutions Business Unit.
• Oversee high-speed electrical design for advanced optical interconnect products.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver solutions for hyperscale data centers and next-generation optical networking systems.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.
• Solve complex technical issues that arise within the engineering team.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with high-speed board design.
• Minimum of 3 years in a people management role.
• Technical aptitude to problem-solve issues beyond the team's capabilities.
• Experience in the telecom, networking, or fiber optic product industry.
• Proficiency in PCB layout, schematic capture, and hardware design.
• Knowledge of high-speed design, fiber optics, and PCIE.

• Experience with networking hardware, optical transceivers, or optical line cards.
• Project management experience.
• Knowledge of FPGA logic design and release.
• Understanding of thermal management and packaging for high-speed systems.

This position is onsite Monday through Friday with some flexibility. The work involves supporting global clients in the telecom and datacom industries, providing innovative optical modules and subsystems to support next-generation networks. The business unit is poised for significant investment over the next five years.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Milpitas, CA.

The pay range for this position is $175000.00 - $250000.00/yr.
