Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
This role operates and supports extrusion and related production equipment on a Monday through Friday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. shift, ensuring products meet specifications while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and size extrusion lines according to production specifications and standard operating procedures.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot downstream equipment to maintain efficient and continuous production.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot programmable or automated production and measurement equipment.
- Measure finished pieces using appropriate measuring tools to verify they meet required specifications and tolerances.
- Identify non-conforming product, implement appropriate corrective actions, and promptly report issues to the immediate supervisor.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and product to support quality control and compliance with GMP and SOP requirements.
- Label, package, and handle products in accordance with quality, safety, and procedural guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleanroom and manufacturing rooms, following GMP and cleanroom protocols.
- Follow company guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety rules at all times.
- Comply with all safety and quality standards, including use of required personal protective equipment such as steel-toe footwear.
- Use hand tools, calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices to support production, assembly, and inspection activities.
- Support general production tasks such as assembly, heat shrink application, general labor, and basic mechanical adjustments as needed.
- Assist with press brake or other manufacturing equipment operations when required by production needs.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.
Essential Skills
- Experience with machine operation in a manufacturing environment, preferably 6 months to 1 year.
- Hands-on experience with extrusion processes and extrusion line setup.
- Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot production machinery and downstream equipment.
- Proficiency using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers to verify product specifications.
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) in a production or cleanroom environment.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and work with mechanical systems and components.
- Experience with general assembly or automotive technician work, demonstrating strong mechanical and hands-on skills.
- Ability to perform quality control checks, inspections, and basic troubleshooting for non-conforming products.
- Capability to read and interpret blueprints or production specifications.
- Comfort working around machinery in a manufacturing setting and following strict safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work the Monday through Friday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. shift consistently.

- Experience in general production, assembly, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience with labeling, packaging, and inspection processes.
- Familiarity with heat shrink applications and press brake operations.
- Comfort using hand tools and performing basic mechanical adjustments.
- Prior exposure to quality-focused environments with strong adherence to procedures and documentation.
- Experience as an automotive technician or similar mechanical role, demonstrating strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
