We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. The role focuses on delivering exceptional client service, maintaining strong relationships with clients and underwriters, supporting account retention and growth, handling policy servicing and renewals, and ensuring accurate policy administration. The ideal candidate has commercial insurance experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced agency environment.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Review client insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
Coordinate policy renewals, endorsements, and policy changes.
Work with underwriters to negotiate coverage and obtain competitive terms.
Support account retention and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation.
Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding policies and coverage.
Review coverage adequacy and recommend adjustments when necessary.
Collaborate with producers, underwriters, and internal departments.
Assist with benefits administration when applicable.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
Ensure compliance with agency procedures and insurance regulations.
Qualifications and Certifications
Experience managing Commercial Lines insurance accounts.
Strong knowledge of Commercial Property and Casualty insurance products.
Experience in account management within an independent insurance agency or brokerage.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities.
Experience handling policy renewals, endorsements, and certificates of insurance.
Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
Proficiency with Agency Management Systems.
State Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred or required based on state regulations.
CIC, CISR, or similar insurance designation is a plus.
