Job Title: Builder – 2nd Shift
Job Description
This role assembles units in a large plant environment by following dimensional drawings, safety requirements, and established quality methods. You will work across multiple stations, use a variety of hand and power tools, and contribute to consistent, high-quality production on the 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
- Assemble units according to dimensional drawings, safety requirements, and quality methods.
- Follow instructions from the group leader to perform a variety of assembly tasks.
- Read and interpret provided drawings to ensure accurate assembly and proper fit.
- Use pneumatic impact tools, pliers, wrenches, and other hand tools safely and effectively.
- Move between several workstations as production needs require.
- Perform casing and wiring tasks as part of unit assembly.
- Complete sub-assembly mating and ensure proper alignment and secure connections.
- Recognize errant or nonconforming parts and report them promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Record completed processes and maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Lift and move materials and components weighing up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
- Wear and use all assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain excellent attendance, punctuality, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Assist with outdoor prep and packing as needed, even though the primary role is indoors.
Essential Skills
- Experience with assembly work in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Proficiency using hand tools such as pliers and wrenches.
- Ability to safely operate pneumatic impact tools and other basic power tools.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Capability to interpret and follow dimensional drawings and written instructions.
- Capacity to perform repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Willingness to stand, walk, and stoop for long periods in a large plant environment.
- Flexibility and openness to change in daily tasks and work assignments.
- Strong team orientation and willingness to support coworkers and production goals.
- Demonstrated initiative to learn new tasks and improve existing skills.
- Excellent attendance and a positive attitude.
- Commitment to using all assigned PPE and following safety procedures at all times.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous general labor or production experience in a plant or warehouse environment.
- Prior experience with casing, wiring, or electrical-related assembly.
- Comfort working at multiple workstations and adapting to changing priorities.
- Ability to recognize and communicate issues with parts, materials, or processes.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Willingness to assist with outdoor prep and packing tasks when needed.
- Availability to work 2nd shift on a consistent basis.

Work Environment
The role is based in a large plant environment that is not temperature controlled, so conditions may vary with the seasons. You will stand, walk, and stoop for extended periods and perform repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs. Work is primarily indoors on the 2nd shift, with occasional assistance needed for outdoor prep and packing. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and must be worn as required.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grenada, MS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
