Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Oak Lawn, Illinois
Pay: $50–$60 per hour (depending on experience)

SchoolHouse Staffing is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join one of our exceptional school district partners in Oak Lawn, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping students strengthen their communication skills and reach their full academic, social, and emotional potential. You'll work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team in a supportive school environment where your expertise is valued.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with each student's IEP goals.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and eligibility determinations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, progress reports, and compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, pragmatic language, and augmentative communication needs.
- Promote communication strategies that enhance classroom participation and student success.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License (if applicable).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply if district requirements allow.
- Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
