Role Type: Full-Time, Regular Employee (Permanent placement on company payroll, not contract/temp)
Shift: Rotating Shifts (Daylight and evening shifts Monday–Friday; every other weekend featuring a mix of daylight, evening, and night shifts; holiday rotation as needed; no on-call or travel required)

New Hire Starting Salary Range: $26.95 – $33.50 per hour base wage (After hire, pay increases can be earned, see below).
About the Opportunity
This is a permanent, full-time career opportunity for a Radiologic Technologist to join the diagnostic imaging team at a historic, award-winning regional medical center. Financial Incentives & Signing Perks

Purpose
The Radiology Technologist operates as a critical clinical partner within the high-volume Diagnostic Radiology department. Utilizing highly sophisticated, state-of-the-art imaging equipment, this professional is responsible for the precise acquisition, data analysis, and digital documentation of diagnostic radiographic procedures. Working across a dynamic trauma environment, the technologist reviews patient histories, verifies physician orders, administers standard contrast media, and ensures that vulnerable patients receive clear, compassionate communication to alleviate anxiety and secure cooperation during imaging procedures.
Responsibilities
- Diagnostic Radiography Execution: Performs complex diagnostic x-ray and radiographic imaging procedures according to strict anatomical protocols, adjusting technical exposure factors to ensure optimal image resolution.
- Patient Safety & Identification: Protects patient safety by executing mandatory dual-identifier checks before every exam and adhering strictly to radiation safety guidelines.
- Clinical Assessment & Documentation: Evaluates incoming physician orders, interviews patients to review clinical histories, and precisely logs relevant background details into the electronic medical record.
- Contrast Administration: Prepares and safely administers prescribed oral (PO) and rectal contrast media in strict accordance with physician orders and department protocols.
- Imaging Systems & Workflow Management: Manages the digital imaging lifecycle by accurately coding and tracking exams through the Radiology Information System (RIS), ensuring seamless image delivery to the archiving network (ISITE) for radiologist interpretation.
- Patient-Centered Communication: Explains complex technical procedures in a compassionate, accessible manner to put patients at ease, answer questions, and facilitate cooperation.
- Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Collaborates productively with emergency room, trauma center, and multi-department medical staff to expedite urgent imaging requests efficiently.
- Post-Training Shift Flexibility: Operates on a standard five-day, 8-hour shift structure during onboarding, with an option to transition to a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule upon completion of training.
Minimum Essential Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology (or formal institutional verification of completed coursework with an upcoming graduation date).
- Registry Provision: Must successfully sit for and pass the ARRT Radiography registry examination within six (6) months of hire date. (Note: Technologists cannot work in an outpatient clinic setting until the ARRT registry is fully obtained).
- Technical & Interpersonal Aptitude: Strong data literacy to navigate modern RIS/PACS infrastructure, paired with exceptional listening, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
- ARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist.
