Snelling is currently recruiting for a dependable, hardworking Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a well-established company in the Trussville area. The pay for this position will be $21.00-24.00/hr with a 1st shift schedule.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities for Shipping and Receiving Clerk:
- Prepares and packs orders for shipment.
- Assembles orders, checks against shipping or customer order.
- Operates standard manual and automatic equipment.
- Stacks shipments on skids/pallets and takes shipments to shipping dock.
- Receives and unpacks materials and supplies into shipping department.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Receives, unpacks, and issues materials to stockroom, warehouse, or designated location.
- Checks goods received against bills of lading, purchase orders, etc.
- Sorts, counts, and checks received items.
- Maintains clerical records.
Skills and Attributes Needed for Shipping and Receiving Clerk:
- 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Able to read and understand written instructions.
- Good communication skills with phone or via email.
- Data entry in web-based trafficking software to plan shipments.
- Operates forklifts, hand pallet trucks, hoists, overhead cranes, etc.
