Job Responsibilities

• Cardiopulmonary Care & Ventilation: Set up, monitor, and manage invasive mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP), and high-flow oxygen therapies for adult and geriatric patient populations.

• Therapeutic Treatments: Administer prescribed respiratory medications, aerosol treatments, and bronchopulmonary drainage therapies; monitor patient physiological responses and collaborate with physicians on treatment plan alterations.

• Diagnostics & EMR: Safely draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs), relaying critical values to the medical team; maintain detailed, accurate clinical charting within the hospital’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

• Emergency Response: Respond rapidly to facility emergency codes and rapid responses, providing airway clearance, manual resuscitation, and expert assistance with endotracheal intubation

Job Requirements

• Credential: Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).

• License: Active, unrestricted Respiratory Care Practitioner license from the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care.

• Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of recent acute care, emergency department, or intensive care unit hospital experience.

• Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. PALS certification is highly preferred
