Diesel Mechanic - Private Company - Now Hiring

North Newark, NJ : We are a growing trucking company with a 25-truck dump fleet, looking for a reliable and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our in-house maintenance team. This is fleet work only, no customer service, no outside repairs.

Pay & Benefits

$30–$45/hr depending on experience

Hours may vary based on fleet needs

Typical hours; Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM 

Job Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on dump trucks

Diagnose and repair engines, brakes, suspensions, steering, and drivetrains

Perform basic to advanced diagnostics

Conduct inspections and ensure DOT compliance

Keep accurate maintenance records

Work efficiently to keep fleet uptime high

Occasional road service for a local break down 

Requirements

3+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred

Experience working on Class 7–8 trucks (dump truck experience a plus)

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
