Job Description
Belleview Valley Nursing Home is looking for a Dietary Manager.
Pay is based on experience.
Position Purpose: The Dietary Supervisor is responsible for providing nourishing food to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This position works primarily daytime hours Monday-Friday.
**Will be required to obtain a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM, CFPP) certification, if not already certified.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in staff meetings, leadership meetings and QA meetings.
- Completes schedules, time card procedures and attendance records for the dietary assistants, assistant cooks, cooks and head cooks.
- Completes performance evaluations on dietary assistants, assistant cooks, cooks and head cooks.
- Completes inventory procedures prior to placing the orders for food and supplies.
- Completes the procedure for placing/sending invoices to AP.
- Participates in writing the menu for residents.
- Completes tray card procedures for residents and new residents or residents who have had diet changes.
- Completes the procedures for diet changes.
- Completes the scheduling and preparations for food-related events on site.
- Implements a cleaning schedule for the Dining Services Department.
- Participates in the meal production as needed.
- Works with the corporate dietitian to provide quality nutritional services and to maintains the Department in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items weighing over 20 pounds.
