General Maintenance & Grounds Crew Member

PirateLand Family Camping Resort is seeking dependable, hardworking, and skilled General Maintenance & Grounds Crew Members to help maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of our resort facilities and grounds. This position combines facility maintenance, repair work, groundskeeping, guest service, and general labor responsibilities to ensure an exceptional experience for our guests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Including, but not limited to:

• Perform general maintenance and repair duties involving buildings, structures, utilities, equipment, and facilities throughout the resort
• Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical, and electrical repairs as assigned
• Assist with preventive maintenance projects and seasonal property improvements
• Maintain resort grounds by mowing, trimming, edging, pruning trees and shrubs, weeding, and caring for common areas
• Operate and maintain a variety of maintenance and landscaping equipment, tools, machinery, and vehicles
• Safely park, move, and position campers and recreational vehicles using tractors and other designated equipment
• Respond to guest maintenance requests and provide courteous assistance when needed
• Perform general labor tasks, including loading and unloading materials, delivering supplies, pressure washing, site preparation, and cleanup
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, and related facility preparations
• Collect, transport, and properly dispose of trash, debris, and bulk waste throughout the property
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of campsites, roadways, common areas, recreational facilities, and landscaped areas
• Identify and report maintenance, equipment, irrigation, utility, or safety concerns to supervisors
• Assist with storm preparation, cleanup efforts, and emergency response activities when necessary
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment
• Collaborate with other resort departments to ensure facilities and grounds remain clean, safe, and guest-ready

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in general maintenance, landscaping, groundskeeping, construction, property maintenance, or a related field preferred
• Ability to safely operate various tools, equipment, machinery, tractors, and utility vehicles
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical, or electrical repairs preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and changing seasonal conditions
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable with prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working on uneven terrain
• Strong teamwork, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Availability to start work as early as 7:00 a.m. and work weekends and holidays as needed
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
