Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary:

This is an exempt, experienced-level position that supports all departments by ensuring the maintenance and security of all equipment and buildings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintain all machinery in like-new condition

· Evaluate requests for repairs and schedule work according to urgency, availability of crew, and least interference with production

· Maintain buildings and grounds by inspecting and noting defects and scheduling repairs or improvements

· Supervises or starts and stops boiler, pump, air compressor, and electric motors

· Keep appropriate inventory of necessary parts and tools

· Preventative Maintenance Pillar Owner

· Coordinate security of buildings

· Record and monitor utility usage

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Mechanical and electrical skills, especially the ability to troubleshoot

· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

· Special attention to detail and accuracy

· Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment

Education, Training, and Experience:

· High School Diploma

· Vocational School Certificate, or equivalent experience

· Ohio Boiler Operator License desired

· Computer literacy

· Experience with Microsoft Office

· Boilers/Steam Systems, High Voltage Electrical Troubleshooting, Low Voltage Electrical Troubleshooting, Conveyors and other Chain Driven mechanisms, Water Pumps, Plumbing/Pipefitting, Hydraulic Systems, Welding, and CMMS System (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Work Environment:

This job operates inside and outside in both extreme heat and extreme cold.

Physical Demands:

Manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination necessary. Ability to repeatedly lift and maneuver 100 pounds is required. Ability to climb stairs, bend, stand, walk, stoop, crouch, and work in such positions every day is required.
