Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious individual to join our close-knit team as a Hydrovac Operator. In this role, you will operate our hydro excavation trucks to safely expose underground utilities and assist our crew on regional job sites.
No prior hydrovac experience? No problem. If you have a commercial driver's license (CDL Class A or B) and a great work ethic, we will fully train you on how to safely operate our specialized equipment.
Schedule & Travel
Standard Hours: Monday – Friday, standard 8-hour days.
Overtime Opportunity: Frequent opportunities for overtime (10 to 12-hour shifts) during peak utility installation seasons.
Travel: Daily travel within the state of Kansas. Minimal, occasional overnight travel may be required depending on project location.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate CDL-regulated Hydrovac/Vacuum trucks to and from various regional job sites.
- Utilize high-pressure water and vacuum systems to excavate around sensitive underground utilities (gas, electric, fiber, water).
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
- Set up and break down equipment, hoses, and tools safely on-site.
- Work closely with the drilling and utility crews, strictly adhering to all company safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
License: Must possess a valid CDL Class A or Class B license.
Experience: Prior hydrovac or heavy equipment experience is a plus, but NOT REQUIRED. We are fully willing to train the right candidate.
Safety & Compliance: Must be able to pass a DOT physical and MUST provide a clean drug test / urinalysis screening prior to employment.
Physical Ability: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to maintaining our zero-accident safety standard.
