Accountant/Government Grant Billing

Our client is a non-profit organization. They seek an Accountant/Government Grant Billing to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare government contract billings and related financial reports with accuracy and timeliness
• Coordinate contract renewals, registrations, and supporting documentation for government-funded programs
• Support annual audits, including CFR, SEFA, and other funder compliance reviews
• Develop government contract budgets, budget modifications, advance requests, and funding submissions
• Monitor contract cost allocations to ensure alignment with approved budgets and communicate variances
• Generate monthly financial reports, analyses, and management meeting materials
• Analyze financial data to support operational and strategic decision-making
• Maintain compliance with government funding agency regulations, reporting requirements, and contract terms
• Collaborate with the Director of Government Contracts, Controller, and internal stakeholders on financial operations
• Execute additional financial and contract administration responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in accounting and government contracts management
• Knowledge in government contract billing for Federal, State, and City agencies including DHS-Dept for Homeland Security A MUST
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
