About this job
Fence Foreman | The Fence Flamingo
Phoenixville, PA · Full-time · $35/hr to start (based on experience) · Lead crews building quality fences across four counties
Job Summary
The Fence Flamingo is hiring a Fence Foreman to run our install crews building wood, vinyl, and aluminum fences for homeowners across Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, and Berks Counties. This is a leadership role for someone who already knows fencing (or comparable trade work) and is ready to own the job site: manage a crew, hit the schedule, and deliver craftsmanship you'd put your name on. If you take pride in your work, know how to lead people, and want a real path to professional growth, we want to talk. This is outdoor, hands-on work where quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and integrity are what makes The Fence Flamingo a premium brand amongst other fence companies.
Duties
- Run the job site day to day: plan the work, sequence the crew, and keep installs on schedule and on spec
- Read and interpret project plans; measure and mark fence lines to exact specs
- Direct site prep: clearing, ground leveling, and post setting (driven or concrete-set depending on the system)
- Oversee and hands-on install of posts, panels, rails, gates, and hardware to a plumb, level, clean finish
- Lead and train crew members, including new hires learning the trade
- Own quality control: inspect alignment, plumb, and finish before calling a job done
- Handle complex fence repairs and replacements
- Manage the customer relationship on site: professional, courteous, and clear communication start to finish
- Track materials, flag shortages, and keep tools and the truck accounted for
- Represent The Fence Flamingo well on every property: clean, courteous, and professional
Requirements
- Proven fence installation experience, or strong carpentry/hardscape/construction background with fencing know-how
- Leadership experience: you've run a crew or are clearly ready to
- Ability to read project plans and translate them into an execution plan
- Solid command of hand and power tools, and the judgment to work safely
- Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and working outdoors in all seasons
- Ability to regularly work 10 hour days as needed
- Sharp attention to detail and the problem-solving instincts to adjust on the fly
- Reliability: as the leader of the crew, you set the tone by showing up on time and ready
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation (required)
Why the Flamingo Crew
- $30-$40/hr to start, based on experience — full-time with room to grow
- Real growth path: Foreman to Management. We promote from within and pay our best people what they're worth.
- Own your job sites and build a crew that runs the way you know it should
- A crew that has each other's backs. We work hard, we have fun, and we look out for one another.
