Tesseraisseekingan experiencedandhardworking General Maintenance Worker IIwith a positiveattitudeto support the HVAC Shop.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for a variety ofpreventative maintenancetasks,includingHVAC filter changes, belt changes and alignment, greasing shaft and motor bearings, condenser and evaporator coil cleaning, thermostatoperationandtaking readings on HVAC equipment.

  • Responsible forensuring a cleanworkspaceand HVAC equipment is in better condition than before starting.

  • Responsible for minorrepairs,air handlers, heat pumps, package units, chilled and heating coils and ductlessmini-splits.

  • Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors,informing the customer of unexpected oradditionalrepairs anddeterminingcustomer needs.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.

  • Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.

  • Makesemi-difficult diagnoses and/orsuggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.

  • Communicate withtheir Lead/Foremanto updatethestatus of repairs and estimate completion dates.

  • Followsall Safety Procedures and Policies.Must be familiar with lock out/tag out and fall protection

  • Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.

  • All Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of facilities maintenance experiencepreferred.

  • Knowledge ofHVAC/R and electricalwork preferred.

  • Must be able to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability toperformthe following physical demands for extended periods of time with or withoutassistance. The physical demands of this position may bereasonably accommodatedfor individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to50pounds.

  • May berequiredto reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also berequired.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

  • Must be okay with working from ladders and heights.

  • Must have good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.

  • A valid state driver's license isrequiredwith the ability to obtain andmaintaincoverage byTessera'sinsurance.
