Now Hiring: Make Ready Technician – Plano, TX 75094

Pay: $18/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (or per property schedule)

BG Staffing is seeking a dependable Make Ready Technician to support an apartment community in Plano, TX 75094. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks and is comfortable assisting with both make ready duties and porter/groundskeeping responsibilities.

Job Description

• Complete unit turns and make-ready tasks.
• Assist with porter duties, including maintaining the property's cleanliness.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
• Install hardware and troubleshoot appliances.
• Prepare apartments for new resident move-ins.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete unit turns, including repairs, touch-ups, and cleaning.
• Assist with trash pickup, breezeway cleaning, and common area upkeep.
• Perform light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Replace fixtures, hardware, and basic components.
• Maintain safe work practices and proper tool usage.
• Communicate progress and completed work with onsite staff.

Required Qualifications

• Previous Make Ready or Apartment Maintenance experience preferred.
• Willingness to perform both Make Ready and Porter responsibilities.
• General maintenance skills, including:
  • Basic electrical
  • Basic plumbing
  • Carpentry and hardware installation
  • Appliance troubleshooting
• Must have basic hand tools.
• Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors as needed.
