Retail Staff Pharmacist | Dunmore, West Virginia

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist role within a busy hospital-owned retail pharmacy located in Buckeye, WV. The pharmacy serves a community-focused patient base, processing approximately 4,000 prescriptions monthly. The environment includes a welcoming gift shop and coffee shop, creating a unique setting for both patients and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
• Verify, dispense, and safely distribute medications in compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Manage inventory and medication stock, including formulary oversight.
• Ensure full compliance with controlled substance handling and documentation.
• Administer the 340B program and related compliance activities.
• Oversee pharmacy billing, process claims, and perform reconciliation tasks.
• Utilize and maintain accuracy within EHR and Pioneer RX pharmacy systems (training provided).
• Support workflow efficiencies and participate in continuous quality improvement.
• Administer immunizations to patients.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear West Virginia pharmacist license.
• Experience with Pioneer RX preferred but not required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
• Current CPR certification and immunization training required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Schedule and Location:

• 12-week contract assignment.
• Located in Buckeye, WV.
• 2 days per week, preferably Tuesday and Wednesday; flexibility may be considered.
• Shift hours: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM (10-hour shift with a 30-minute lunch).
