Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract position serving students' communication needs in a dynamic school setting. This opportunity places you onsite across several educational environments, ensuring variety and impact in your daily work. Your specialized skills as a Speech-Language Pathologist will directly benefit students at both a high school and middle school, with the possibility of supporting additional locations. The assignment runs from late August 2026 through May 2027, closely following the academic calendar.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license (State of Missouri or eligibility by start date)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Prior experience providing speech and language services in K-12 school environments strongly preferred
- Expertise working with students who have a range of communication needs, including those in specialized classroom settings
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in specialized classrooms (ESC and BEST) at the high school level, supporting approximately 11 students
- Provide overflow support at the middle school and potentially one additional district location
- Complete assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with special education teams, general education teachers, and families to promote student success
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Work a consistent full-time schedule, 9:00am – 4:40pm, Monday through Friday
