Job Description
The Printer Operator supports the daily operations of digital printing, finishing, and quality control by operating printing machines and producing manuals. This role involves frequent computer use to retrieve orders and prepare documents for printing, followed by inspection, packaging, and preparation of finished materials for shipment. The position requires consistent attention to detail, comfort with repetitive tasks, and the ability to perform light physical work throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
- Operate digital printing machines to produce manuals and other printed materials according to production schedules and specifications.
- Use computer applications, including Excel, Word, and Adobe, to pull orders, prepare files, and set up documents for printing.
- Monitor print jobs throughout the process to ensure correct formatting, print quality, and adherence to customer requirements.
- Perform quality control checks on printed manuals, verifying accuracy, completeness, and overall print quality.
- Shrink wrap printed manuals and prepare them for packaging in accordance with established procedures.
- Package finished products securely and accurately, ensuring correct labeling and organization for shipment or storage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following established housekeeping and safety guidelines.
- Stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly while handling materials and operating equipment.
- Assist with general production and labor tasks as needed to support overall workflow and meet production goals.
- Follow all operational procedures for digital print, finishing, and quality control processes to maintain consistent output and efficiency.
- At least 1 year of machine operating experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency using computers, including experience with Excel, Word, and Adobe software.
- Ability to operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Capability to stand for most of the shift and lift up to 25 pounds throughout the day.
- Experience with general labor tasks in a production setting.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate quality checks on printed materials.
- Basic understanding of digital printing processes and workflows.
- Strong work ethic and reliability in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience with digital printing equipment.
- Experience operating printing machines specifically.
- Previous experience in packaging and finishing operations.
- Familiarity with production workflows and quality control procedures.

The facility offers a temperature-controlled and well-lit workspace, helping you stay comfortable and productive throughout your shift. The role provides consistent daytime hours and a structured setting where you can build and develop your production and printing skills.
Work Environment
This role is based in a clean, organized production facility with a focus on digital printing and finishing operations. The workspace is temperature-controlled and well lit, providing a comfortable environment for standing and moving throughout the day. The position follows a first-shift schedule, typically between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. You will work around digital printing machines and packaging equipment, frequently using computers with Excel, Word, and Adobe software to manage print orders and documents.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
