Retail Staff Pharmacist | Marlinton, West Virginia

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A hospital-owned retail pharmacy in Buckeye, WV, is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a 12-week contract assignment. This role offers the opportunity to operate within a busy community-focused setting that includes a retail pharmacy, gift shop, and coffee shop—creating a welcoming environment for patients and visitors alike.

Schedule and Shift:

• 2 days per week (preferably Tuesday and Wednesday, flexible based on candidate availability)
• 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM shifts with a 30-minute lunch break (10-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists to ensure smooth daily operations
• Verify, dispense, and manage accurate and safe medication distribution
• Manage inventory, medication stock, and formulary maintenance
• Ensure compliance with controlled substance handling and related documentation
• Administer and oversee 340B program compliance
• Manage pharmacy billing processes including claims submission and reconciliation
• Utilize and maintain accuracy within EHR and pharmacy software systems (training provided)
• Support workflow optimization and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Administer immunizations to patients as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and clear West Virginia pharmacist license required
• Experience with Pioneer RX software preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy; PharmD preferred but not required
• Current CPR certification and active immunization certification
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
