This role performs high-level industrial maintenance technician duties in a fast-paced, fully automated manufacturing environment. You will focus on advanced electrical troubleshooting and support of PLCs, motors, conveyors, and plant systems to maximize production uptime and equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on high-speed automated machinery.
- Support PLC troubleshooting on automated equipment to quickly identify and resolve control-related issues.
- Work with motors, conveyors, drives, gear boxes, and industrial control systems to maintain optimal performance.
- Assist with boiler controls, compressors, and other plant utilities to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain production uptime and equipment efficiency by responding promptly to maintenance requests and equipment failures.
- Complete documentation and maintenance logs accurately, including work orders, parts usage, and equipment history.
- Follow all safety and environmental policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to lockout/tagout practices.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize strong computer skills to access maintenance systems, reference documentation, and record maintenance activities.
Essential Skills
- Proven electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation experience.
- Strong knowledge of 3-phase motor controls and AC/DC drives.
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience working with motors, conveyors, pumps, and power transmission systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Solid understanding of sensors, photo eyes, relays, limit switches, and other industrial control devices.
- Demonstrated capability to work safely around electrical panels, moving machinery, and plant utilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Exposure to steam systems, boilers, and compressors is preferred.
- Experience in corrugated or packaging manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Strong computer skills in a Microsoft-based environment.
- Experience in packaging, automation, and sensor systems is beneficial.
- Familiarity with gear boxes, electrical maintenance practices, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Comfort working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial motor systems.
- Willingness to work a consistent night shift schedule in a high-speed automated facility.
This is a Permanent position based out of Blue Ash, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $64937.00 - $81161.00/yr.
