A hospital-owned retail pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a 12-week contract assignment in Buckeye, WV. This pharmacy supports a vibrant community environment, integrating traditional pharmacy services with a gift shop and coffee shop to provide a welcoming experience for patients and visitors. The position plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the entire retail pharmacy operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Location: Buckeye, WV
Schedule:

• 2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday preferred; flexible)
• Shift hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (10-hour shift with 30-minute lunch)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists in daily operations
• Verify, dispense, and ensure accuracy and safety in medication distribution
• Manage inventory, medication stock, and formulary compliance
• Maintain strict adherence to controlled substance handling and documentation
• Administer and oversee the 340B program ensuring regulatory compliance
• Handle pharmacy billing, claims submission, and reconciliation processes
• Utilize and maintain accuracy within EHR and pharmacy software (training provided)
• Support operational workflow and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Administer immunizations to patients

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear West Virginia pharmacist license required
• Experience with Pioneer RX software preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy, PharmD preferred but not mandatory
• Current CPR certification and active immunization certification
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
