Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role is ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference in elementary education. The position offers a flexible 3-4 day per week schedule near Waterville, ME, working primarily with younger learners in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Candidates with any of the following credentials are encouraged to apply: SLPA, SLP (CCC), SLP (Teletherapy), SLP (CFY), as well as those with school-based or healthcare-focused SLPA experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Maine license (or eligibility) for SLPA or SLP (CCC/CFY)
  • Experience working in schools, preferably K-5 populations
  • Strong communication skills for both students and collaboration with school teams
  • Competence in engaging students in-person and/or via teletherapy platforms
  • Innovative, resourceful, and adaptive to diverse learning needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-5 students, following IEP goals and established best practices
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records, assessments, and progress reports
  • Utilize creative therapy approaches to engage students and promote skill development
  • Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions, contributing valuable insights

You’ll receive a competitive hourly rate, between $30 and $40 depending on experience. Contractors working 30 hours or more weekly receive guaranteed hours and a benefits package as part of their commitment.
