American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift hospital position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active RN license (OK or compact).

- Work in the Med/Surg unit on the 3rd/4th floor of a hospital \n
- Care for adult patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex \n
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts \n
- 36 hours per week across 3 shifts per week \n
- \n
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) \n
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) \n
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) \n
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required \n
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required \n
- BSN from a Board Approved Program preferred \n
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures \n
- Good verbal and written communication skills \n
- Full DOB and SSN required for consideration \n

- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and treatments \n
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments \n
- Obtain and monitor physiological data, observing and intervening as needed \n
- Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products \n
- Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge \n
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and make appropriate referrals for care needs \n
- Delegate tasks to support staff as needed \n
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible \n
- Compliance documentation and onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical clearance) must begin immediately upon offer, as start dates will not be pushed \n
- Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer due to strict compliance deadlines \n
- Workers may only extend a contract one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying \n
