Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse
Assignment Duration\nThis is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule\n5x8 Days (06:45 - 15:15), Monday to Friday with occasional late days. Call required one day a week and every fifth weekend.
Job Description\nThe Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab RN will provide comprehensive nursing care in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization settings. The role involves monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures, administering medications, and recognizing and responding to changes in patients’ conditions.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Assist with cardiac stent placements, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, and various interventional catheterizations. \n
- Monitor procedural sedation and administer medications including antiarrhythmics and thrombolytics. \n
- Conduct 12 Lead EKGs, interpret/manage dysrhythmias, and follow infection prevention protocols. \n
- Provide patient education and support to individuals undergoing catheterization procedures. \n
- Ensure sterile technique and participate in sheath removal and monitoring post-procedure. \n
- \n
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab or similar settings. \n
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required. \n
- Experience with cardiac interventions and familiarity with specialized equipment such as Impella and GE Mac Lab systems. \n
- Strong understanding of procedural sedation and blood product administration procedures. \n
