Job Description

The Surgery Scheduler will schedule in-patient and out-patient hospital-based surgeries and procedures. Respond to both written and oral correspondence regarding scheduling changes or cancellations. Schedule appropriate provider and facility and all preoperative and postoperative appointments regarding surgery. Will schedule ancillary tests, treatment, and/or surgical procedures needed before surgery. Handle pre-certification of surgical procedures. Will follow up with patients and medical staff after surgery.
The scheduler must be organized and able to manage a demanding workload with accuracy. Must be familiar with hospital operations. Surgery Scheduling experience! HSG. College a plus.
Normal Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00. Criminal/Drug screening.
