Responsibilities

· Manage all steps of the revenue cycle, including insurance verification, eligibility, charge review, payment posting, AR follow-up, denials, appeals, and collections.

· Oversee AR performance across all payer categories, with particular focus on accounts over 120 days and high-risk payers such as Workers’ Compensation.

· Lead cash application, reconciliation, and revenue reporting to maximize collections and minimize write-offs.

· Support team management by coaching, conducting regular check-ins, and partnering with HR on performance and development.

· Review key KPIs such as AR aging, denial rates, days sales outstanding, and write-offs to ensure operational excellence.

· Drive workflow and process improvements to reduce rework, minimize denials, and increase speed to payment.

· Ensure compliance with payer rules, contracts, and internal audit standards.

· Partner with IT and leadership on billing system enhancements, system training, and identifying revenue leakage points.

· Perform additional duties aligned with organizational goals, including team engagement and workload management.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field preferred.

· Minimum of 5 years' experience managing revenue cycle operations in a medical or healthcare setting.

· Strong understanding of professional billing, workers’ comp, and commercial insurance billing.

· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, improve processes, and optimize revenue.
