Warehouse / Picker / Packer (Immediate Start)

Position: Warehouse Associate
Location: South Bend, IN 46628
Client: Leading Tools Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6-months Contract (Possible to extend)
Pay Rate: $18/hr (Weekly Pay)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8.30 AM to 5:30 PM (until work done)

Job Responsibilities

Receiving & Inspection

• Unpack incoming customer shipments and prepare tools for the repair process.
• Accurately log received items using the SAP system (training provided).

Shipping & Fulfillment

• Prepare and package outbound shipments with proper documentation and labeling.
• Complete Hazmat paperwork for applicable shipments (UPS, FedEx, LTL).

Inventory & Material Handling

• Assist with warehouse and inventory control of spare parts and packaging materials.
• Organize and replenish packaging supplies to ensure availability and accessibility.

Workplace Organization & Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized work environment in line with 5S standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement using LEAN practices.

Team Collaboration & Performance

• Support team goals by completing tasks efficiently and meeting KPIs.
• Participate in cross-functional tasks and perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

• Temperature-controlled warehouse (heating & air conditioning).
• Workshop environment may include noise, dust, and other particles.

Safety Requirements

• Comply with all client and OSHA safety regulations.
• Proper labeling and handling of hazardous materials per policy.
• Must wear steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and other PPE as required.

Physical Requirements

• Regular heavy lifting of 50+ lbs, with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to operate warehouse material handling equipment and assist with truck loading/unloading.
• Must tolerate prolonged standing, repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing ladders.

Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable using computers and software tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience operating power equipment (e.g., pallet jack).
