We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services to students with speech, language, communication, and related disorders that impact educational performance. The SLP will collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic achievement, social communication, and participation in the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students
- Provide individual and group therapy services to students with communication disorders
- Address areas including:
- Articulation and phonological disorders
- Receptive and expressive language delays
- Social/pragmatic communication skills
- Fluency disorders
- Voice disorders
- AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) support
- Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, administrators, and parents
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing when applicable
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment goals and strategies as needed
- Provide classroom-based support and consultation services
- Educate staff and families regarding communication strategies and interventions
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or required
- Experience working with children and school-aged populations preferred
- Understanding of child development and educational impact of communication disorders
- Experience with autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, and learning disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of AAC devices and classroom accommodations beneficial
