At Total Care ABA, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our ABA-based Special Purpose Preschool helps children ages 3–5 develop the social, communication, behavioral, and academic skills they need for kindergarten readiness and lifelong success.
We are seeking caring, energetic, and dependable Child Care Workers to join our team in Arundel, Maine and support young children ages 3–5 with developmental and behavioral needs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to build a career in early childhood education, special education, ABA, or behavioral health.
You'll work alongside Special Education Teachers, Educational Technicians, and Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in a collaborative, supportive environment where training and professional growth are encouraged.

What you’ll do:
• Support children throughout the school day with learning activities, play, and daily routines
• Encourage positive social, communication, and behavioral development
• Help create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
• Work one-on-one or in small groups under the guidance of the teaching team
• Assist with classroom setup, organization, and daily cleaning tasks
• Support students during transitions, meals, and outdoor activities
• Implement behavioral and educational plans developed by teachers and clinicians
• Collect basic observational data as directed
• Maintain confidentiality of student information
• Collaborate with educators, clinicians, and other team members to support student success.
What We're Looking for from you:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 60 college credits preferred
Ability to obtain a Maine Educational Technician certificate through the Maine Department of Education
Reliable transportation and strong attendance
Previous education and/or experience in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Care, Psychology, Social Services, or a related field preferred
Experience working with young children a plus.
Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral
challenges desired.
Interest in pursuing a career in education, special education, ABA, or behavioral health.
