What’s In Store For You
- Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)
- Full-time contract opportunity supporting an automotive manufacturing facility.
- Onsite position in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
- Monday through Friday schedule, working either 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Opportunity to independently lead quality activities while partnering with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and production teams.
- Exposure to automotive quality systems, product validation, process improvement, and advanced manufacturing operations.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Develop and maintain procedures for collecting, evaluating, and reporting product quality and reliability data.
- Support automotive product and process launches through PPAP and APQP activities.
- Apply MSA, SPC, and FMEA methodologies to identify risks, validate processes, and improve product quality.
- Evaluate the precision and accuracy of production, measurement, testing, and analytical equipment.
- Investigate product and process quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Review engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical reports to verify product integrity and compliance.
- Analyze quality data using Minitab and Microsoft Office applications to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare quality documentation, work instructions, forms, reports, and training materials.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback to employees involved in inspection and testing activities.
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering stakeholders to strengthen process controls and reduce quality risks.
Do You Bring Proven Success in Automotive Quality Engineering?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
- Five to seven years of quality engineering experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with automotive PPAP requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of APQP, MSA, SPC, and FMEA.
- Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools and their practical use in production quality environments.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 quality management requirements.
- Proficiency with Minitab and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and computer-generated reports.
- Experience with CAD or other engineering-related software is preferred.
- Strong analytical, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented team player who can exercise independent judgment with direction from leadership.
- Ability to provide basic leadership, mentoring, technical support, and constructive performance feedback.
