They will be involved in customer support revenue generating projects and surgical training of DSI devices. They will also participate in the development of new products and surgical techniques. Essential Job FunctionsContribute to Surgical Services Revenue:Perform simple small animal surgeriesProvide in house hands-on surgical training for DSI customers Perform surgeries for pre-implanted small animals at DSI for shipment to the customerProvide surgical support to customers and sales reps:Provide laboratory support of animals:Monitor the health and welfare of all animals following applicable guidelines for care and use of laboratory animals, shared weekend and holiday health checksProvide peri and post-operative animal care dutiesContribute to maintaining the laboratory Shared animal husbandry including weekends and holidays.Continued Improvement to Surgical Service internal documentation Maintain internal records and compliance documentation skills and abilities requiredMacro and microsurgeryPeri and Post-operative animal careSelf-starter Microsoft Office software userCommunication skillsTeam skillsDetail orientedBonus skills and experienceSurgical experience with DSI telemetry. Education and Experience and/or equivalentHigh School or equivalent, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience with small laboratory animals. Willing to obtain certification (SRT or SRS) through the Academy of Surgical Research.Physical demandsAbility to perform microscopic surgery, sitting, and standing for the majority of the day.
