As a Speech Language Pathologist, you’ll play a key role in helping patients regain communication skills, confidence, and independence, while being supported by a team that values your expertise and dedication.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology services as ordered by the physician and in accordance with the patient’s plan of care.
- Review referrals, gather background data, and conduct assessments to determine the patient’s functional and psychosocial needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and modify as necessary based on patient progress.
- Recommend and assist in acquiring adaptive equipment to enhance patient independence.
- Communicate and consult with physicians regarding patient progress and any changes in treatment.
- Supervise home health aides as appropriate per state and federal regulations.
- Document visits, outcomes, and discharge planning accurately and promptly.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Massachusetts (or eligible for licensure).
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an acute care setting; home health experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
