Job Description

We are partnering with the Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH) to hire a Program Specialist. The ideal candidate will collaborate with state leadership, behavioral health providers, and community stakeholders to ensure program success, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement.

Compensation & Highlights:

Pay Rate: $38 per hour
Location: Cranston, RI

Program Specialist Responsibilities:

Coordinate cross-functional implementation efforts by partnering with internal departments, behavioral health providers, and community stakeholders.
Serve as a liaison between leadership and participating organizations by facilitating meetings, fostering collaboration, and providing guidance on program standards and best practices.
Monitor program performance by evaluating implementation progress, identifying barriers to success, and recommending process improvements

Program Specialist Qualifications:

Master's degree in Behavioral Health, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field required.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with behavioral health organizations, state agencies, healthcare systems, or grant-funded public health programs.
Strong understanding of behavioral health services, healthcare regulations, compliance standards, quality improvement, and program implementation.
