Key Personnel is seeking a Patient Registration Specialist to join a busy OBGYN clinic in the Tulsa, OK area.

Patient Registration Specialist Payrate: $18+/hr, DOE
Patient Registration Specialist Schedule: Works a rotating schedule. Must be okay with a varying start time between 7:45am and 8am, and a varying end time of 4:45pm and 5pm. Monday-Friday, no weekends and no holidays.

Patient Registration Specialist Summary:
Performs all functions necessary to facilitate a smooth check-in and check-out process for patients with minimum supervision keeping the needs of all customers in the highest priority. Welcome all guests into the office.

Patient Registration Specialist Responsibilities:
· Timely review of next day’s patient appointments, noting the status of insurance verification, paperwork needed, and payments due from patient.
· Represent the practice by being professional and welcoming as patients check in for their appointment.
· Instruct patients on sign in procedures.
· Provide patients with appropriate paperwork for new or updated accounts.
· Collect and copy/scan appropriate patient identification and insurance information.
· Collect copayments co-insurance, and/or outstanding balance due fees from patients.
· Follow practice procedures for proper handling of patient payments.
· Input updated patient information in patient’s account.
· Alert medical assistants when the patient is ready for triage.
· Respond to patient questions and concerns regarding wait times/scheduling conflicts.
· Respond to patient/visitor questions regarding facility procedures.
· Respond to telephone inquiries routed to the front desk.
· Schedule return appointments and provide patients with appointment reminder cards.
· At check-out, when needed, collect patient payment following practice protocol.
· Welcome all guests who enter the suite in a friendly and welcoming manner.
· Follow guidelines for all aspects of HIPAA/Compliance/Employee Handbook.
· Request office supplies from supervisor in a timely fashion.
· Keep the reception area in an orderly fashion.

Patient Registration Specialist Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous experience in a medical front desk setting required. This is not an entry level position.
· Previous experience in an OBGYN setting preferred.
· Previous experience with EClinicalWorks EHR software preferred.
· Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with patients and coworkers.
· Strong professional telephone skills and computer skills required.
· Must have the ability to perform several tasks simultaneously during peak workload situations. This is a very busy medical office with 8+ providers, must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
