Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Block Schedule with Sleep‑Overnight

Schedule Type: Fixed / Block Schedule
Includes: Sleep‑Overnight Shifts
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour (based on experience and program needs with previous job experience background checks.)

Position Overview

We are seeking dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to fill block schedule positions that include sleep‑overnight shifts. These roles offer consistent, set schedules at the same residential program, supporting stability for both employees and individuals served.

This position is ideal for candidates seeking predictable hours while providing meaningful support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

What Is a Block Schedule?

A block schedule is a set, recurring work schedule with assigned days and hours each week. DSPs hired into block schedules work the same shifts consistently and are not subject to rotating schedules.

This position includes sleep‑overnight shifts, during which staff remain on‑site overnight to ensure safety and provide support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support in accordance with Individual Support Plans (ISP)
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagement
• Ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of individuals served
• Remain on‑site and available during sleep‑overnight shifts
• Respond appropriately to overnight needs or emergencies
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely
• Follow all ODP regulations and agency policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience supporting individuals with IDD preferred (training provided)
• Ability to work assigned block schedule consistently, including overnights
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if required by the program
• Must successfully complete background checks and required training
