Coil‑Fed Press Die Changeover Specialist

Are you the pressroom pro everyone calls when time is tight?

If quick, clean die changeovers and first-piece approvals are your thing, this role is for you.

Can you:

• Set up and troubleshoot stamping dies on production equipment so operators can run safely and on target?
• Follow documented die setup steps and all written quality procedures without missing a detail?
• Gauge first pieces for every run and compare them to the required quality gages?
• Load coils and complete rapid changeovers on coil-fed presses up to 1,000 tons?
• Submit required first-piece samples to quality leaders and wait for approval to run?
• Install scrap shakers and all safety guards before turning over the press?
• Close out jobs by following last-piece and end-of-run instructions exactly as written?

What you’ll do

• Own die setup and troubleshooting for assigned presses
• Execute quick die set procedures to minimize downtime
• Verify first-piece quality, obtain sign-off, and release the job to production
• Ensure scrap removal systems and guarding are in place before handoff
• Complete end-of-run documentation and checks per procedure

What you need to succeed

• 1–5 years of relevant die setting experience
• Your own tools (or readiness to purchase them)
• Hilo (forklift) and overhead crane experience; at minimum, Hilo is a must
