Overview:
Crouch Staffing Solutions, Inc. is recruiting for a Safety and Environmental Technician for a Waco area manufacturer. This role will ensure a safe and injury free work environment for all employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OSHA regulations, workplace safety, environmental standards, and safety training within the manufacturing industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OSHA regulations, workplace safety, environmental standards, and safety training within the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage all site-specific environmental, health, and safety programs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, etc.)
- Conduct safety orientations and training for all new hires and ongoing safety refreshers for existing employees
- Prepare weekly safety posting for the employees
- Perform routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning
- File Workers Comp claims and follow employee through care process
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training logs, OSHA logs, training programs, and compliance documentation
- Create training programs were needed
- Partner with plant leadership and supervisors to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Serve as the primary liaison during regulatory agency inspections and audits
- Ensure all safety equipment and emergency response protocols are in place and maintained
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Previous EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is strongly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental compliance, and workplace safety regulations
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to communicate and train in big and small groups.
- Professional certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, CHST, CSP, or similar are a plus
