Job Description

Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join a busy hospital Sterile Processing Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment while ensuring compliance with infection control standards and hospital policies.

• Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing experience in an acute care hospital.
• Current CBSPD or equivalent Sterile Processing certification.
• Strong experience with:
  • Decontamination
  • Instrument tray assembly
  • Sterilizers and washer/disinfectors
  • Case cart preparation and case pulling
  • Quality assurance testing
• Experience processing Da Vinci robotic instruments is required.
• Experience handling ophthalmology (eye) instruments is required.
• Experience processing instruments for vascular, cardiac, orthopedic, neurology, ENT, gynecology, and general surgery procedures.
• Experience with flexible endoscope reprocessing.
• Familiarity with instrument tracking systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
