Job Description
The Matamoras Municipal Authority is seeking a dedicated and skilled Utility Maintenance Technician. This role involves maintaining and repairing our water utility system and its properties to ensure efficient and reliable service. The ideal candidate will have a background in maintenance, and a commitment to safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on water utility system, including pumps, valves, and treatment systems.
• Diagnose and repair minor mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Monitor and maintain water quality and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and system failures.
• Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute maintenance schedules and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Operate basic maintenance equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner (including lawn equipment, shovels, ladders, etc.)
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Some experience in maintenance, plumbing, or a related field.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs at least waist high.
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
