Facilities Maintenance Technician/Handyman

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the hands-on maintenance and repair of three warehouse/distribution facilities. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots building-related issues, coordinates required inspections, and ensures all facilities remain safe, compliant, and operational. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on warehouse facilities and building systems. 

• Maintain dock doors, lighting systems, electrical components, walkways, entryways, and other building infrastructure. 

• Complete minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair work. 

• Perform routine facility maintenance tasks, including forklift battery watering systems, air compressor drainage, and sprinkler system maintenance. 

• Coordinate and support fire sprinkler, fire extinguisher, and other required safety inspections. 

• Maintain facility grounds and coordinate waste and dumpster services. 

• Troubleshoot facility issues and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner. 

• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and projects 

• Maintain maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies, as Director of Operations. 

Qualifications 

• 3-5+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment. 

• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, lighting, and general building maintenance. 

• Experience maintaining dock equipment, warehouse infrastructure, and facility support systems preferred. 

• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance activities across multiple locations. 

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 

• Valid driver's license required.
