Maintenance Assistants around State College

Sweeps is hiring two dependable Maintenance Assistants to support the maintenance team at a student apartment community during apartment turnover season, 7/20-8/22 (Monday-Friday each week).

This is a temporary, full-time-hour position working alongside the property's maintenance supervisor to help prepare apartments for new residents before the fall semester.

Responsibilities

• Replace HVAC air filters
• Replace light bulbs
• Assemble and place furniture
• Touch-up spackling and minor cosmetic repairs
• Install blinds and other apartment fixtures
• Move furniture and supplies between units
• Assist the maintenance team with apartment preparation
• Keep work areas clean and organized

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Comfortable working on your feet throughout the day
• Able to use basic hand tools
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well on a team
• Maintenance, construction, or apartment experience is helpful but not required
