Job Summary and Qualifications
As an MRI Technologist you will operate the MRI scanners to obtain images for use by the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. - You will perform procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretations by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
- You will exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
- You will demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of non-imaging procedures/skills for all age groups served.
- You will perform procedures efficiently and according to the protocol for radiologic interpretation
- You may need to life patients or assist in lifting on and off the exam table to position for appropriately for procedures.
- You will need to perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision to keep procedures on schedule with no deviation due to lack of technical expertise.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology Program Required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in MRI preferred
Venipuncture Certification preferred within one year
