Job Title: Mechanic Technician
Job Description

As a Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining machines by following manuals and diagrams. You will identify and fix mechanical problems using proper tools and measurements, remove and replace defective parts, adjust and calibrate machine components, and perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Additionally, you will fabricate or repair parts as needed and record maintenance activities in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain machines according to manuals and diagrams.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues using appropriate tools and measurements.
  • Remove and replace defective parts efficiently.
  • Adjust and calibrate machine components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Fabricate or repair parts as needed.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities in CMMS.
Essential Skills
  • Strong knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with pneumatics and blueprint reading.
  • Proficiency in preventive maintenance and repair of machines and equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and replace defective parts.
  • Capability to adjust and calibrate components.
  • Skill in fabricating or repairing parts as needed.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, understanding of hydraulics, electronics, and general labor tasks.
  • Experience in automotive repair and service, including wiring.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of installing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Welding skills (MIG and stick), plumbing, and fabrication abilities.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting (120v, 240v, 480v 3-phase).
  • Extrusion experience is a plus.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and read maintenance manuals.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $50.00/hr.
