Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support a construction-focused organization in Mars, Pennsylvania on a Contract basis. This role will oversee core accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and help ensure timely reporting across the business. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in month-end close, general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial statement oversight within a construction accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is complete and accurate.

• Oversee general ledger activity, review account balances, and maintain the integrity of financial records.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support routine and adjusting accounting transactions.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Produce financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting needs.

• Coordinate audit preparation activities and provide documentation required for financial statement audits.

• Manage consolidation of financial information across entities or business units as needed.

• Utilize Viewpoint Vista to support accounting workflows, reporting, and financial record maintenance.

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including leadership responsibility in an accounting management capacity.
• Strong hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger oversight, and journal entry review.
• Demonstrated background in account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and audit support.
• Prior experience working in construction or contractor-based accounting environments.
• Proficiency with Viewpoint Vista or comparable construction accounting software.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, including consolidated statements where applicable.
• Ability to analyze financial information carefully and maintain a high level of accuracy in reporting.
